Cancer Vaccines (Ref No: ASN00017.1)
Therapeutic cancer vaccines represent an alternative method to treat cancer patients and to prevent disease recurrence. Currently, there are about eight such vaccines in phase III clinical trials in the European Union or United States. As these vaccines typically are not as toxic as traditional anticancer agents, it is envisioned that more cancer vaccines will be tested and seeking FDA approval in the near future. Our data set covers a non-exhaustive list of patents/patent applications as of on the foregoing subject matter, and includes antigen/adjuvant, dendritic cell, DNA, viral vectors and idiotype cancer vaccines. Reprogrammed Stem Cells (Ref No: ASN00015.1)
In Jul '09, it was reported in Nature that researchers created live mouse offspring from mature mouse skin cells that were reprogrammed to an embryonic-like state before being introduced into early-stage embryos. This milestone marked an impressive leap from the not so distant past where in 2007, the first induced pluripotent human stem cells were created and garnered a lot of interest in this area of stem cell science. We prepared here a non-exhaustive data set of patents/patent applications covering reprogramming techniques and the uses of stem cells obtained from such techniques, including applications for cartilage, neural, CNS, dermal, ocular and cardiac repair.
